Path to FPSC Level 1® Certification – In Effect Until December 31, 2019

FPSC Level 1 certification is a step along the path to CFP® certification. Important Changes to the Path to Certification – Effective January 1, 2020

FP Canada is making changes to its certification programs. Effective January 1, 2020, FPSC Level 1 certification will be replaced by QAFP certification and all current FPSC Level 1 certificants, in good standing, will automatically become QAFP professionals. Additionally, changes to the paths to certification for both QAFP certification and CFP certification will roll out following a transition period.

3 Steps to FPSC Level 1 Certification

The path to FPSC Level 1 certification begins when you enrol in an FP Canada-Approved Core Curriculum Program. Once you successfully complete your program, you may register for the FPSC Level 1 examination and apply for FPSC Level 1 Certification in Financial Planning at the same time. You will achieve FPSC Level 1 certification upon passing the FPSC Level 1 exam. From there, you may also choose to continue on the path to CFP certification.
