You can submit your diploma or degree for verification at any time while  you’re on the path to QAFP certification or CFP certification. Begin this process by signing in to your account. If you don’t have an account, create one here.

FP Canada will notify you when it has received the required documentation and has verified your education. You will also see the status change on your personal dashboard when you log into your account.

Candidates with qualifying work experience may be exempted from the postsecondary education requirement.

 

How to submit your degree or diploma for verification

Canadian

Ask your college or university to send FP Canada either:

  • a secure digital copy of your  transcript, or a diploma or degree award letter 
  • a printed transcript or diploma or degree award letter mailed to:
    FP Canada Certification & Student Services
    902-375 University Ave
    Toronto ON M5G 2J5

Your diploma, degree, or award letter must include:

  • your name
  • your diploma or degree program name
  • the date your diploma or degree was awarded
 

Canadian documentation

Confirmation of your Canadian diploma or degree must be issued directly to FP Canada by your college or university. FP Canada will not accept documentation sent by a student or by any other source.

International

Submit your verification request through one of the following education verification services: 

  • World Education Services (FP Canada’s preferred service)
  • Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies 
  • International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
  • International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS)
  • International Credential Evaluation Service – British Columbia Institute of Technology

If you have previously had your education evaluated by one of these services, you must contact them directly to request a duplicate evaluation be sent either digitally to FP Canada or by mail/courier to:

International documentation

A copy of the evaluation of your international diploma or degree must be issued directly to FP Canada by the education verification service, either digitally or by mail or courier. FP Canada will not accept documentation sent by a student or by any other source.

Fees and costs

  • FP Canada does not charge a fee to verify your diploma or degree
  • FP Canada will not reimburse you for any diploma/degree-related charges
  • candidates are responsible for paying any fees 
    • charged by the granting institution
    • incurred during the evaluation process for international education
