As a direct result of cases they have considered, the Conduct Review Panel issues Letters of Guidance and Advice that are published anonymously on the FP Canada™ website to provide information to QAFP professionals and CFP professionals, and to the public about the types of conduct that are of concern.

Letters of Guidance and Advice do not reflect a finding of professional misconduct. They are issued by the Conduct Review Panel where the Panel has concerns about the conduct of a financial planner certified by FP Canada but determines that a remedial approach is appropriate in the circumstances.
