Reinstate your certification

If your certification has been cancelled or lapsed, you can reinstate it within five years of your last QAFP certification expiration date, subject to reinstatement policies.

To reinstate your QAFP certification, you must:

• comply with the FP Canada Standards Council™ Standards of Professional Responsibility 
• complete the QAFP Certification Reinstatement Application and pay the non-refundable reinstatement fee, in addition to the pro-rated annual certification fee
• have successfully completed the QAFP Professional Education Program
• submit supporting documentation to confirm you have completed all continuing education (CE) requirements (12 hours of CE activities annually for each year not certified)
  • you will be required to log into the FP Canada™ Portal and report your CE

Reinstatement application processing

FP Canada will review your application once you have reported your CE in the CE Tracker tool with supporting documentation and paid the reinstatement fee. The application process generally takes 5-10 business days from the date you submit all required items.
