The Board has 11 members with diverse backgrounds that are relevant to achieving FP Canada’s purpose. Currently, the Board’s composition includes:

  • four Certified Financial Planner® professionals
  • one Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ professional
  • two public directors
  • two directors-at-large
  • two financial planners (F.Pl) licensed in the province of Québec.

Candidates for the Board are recommended by the Board Development Committee. Board members are not compensated for their work, and serve up to two, three-year terms. The Board appoints a Chair from within its ranks each year.

Nira is a Global Leader in Deloitte’s AI Practice. She has over 17 years of experience in management consulting.  

In her current role, Nira advises organizations to help them embrace data-driven strategies and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to transform their customer-facing, mid-office and back-office operations.  

Nira is a strategic advisor to Chief Data & Analytics Officers (CDAOs) in financial services organizations across Canada. These include the Big Five banks, insurers, and federal Crown corporations and regulatory agencies. She has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Waterloo.
