The CFP Exam Panel is comprised of experts in all areas of financial planning, such as retirement planning, risk management and taxation.

The exam panel's purpose is to ensure:

  • the certification exams sufficiently and appropriately assess the competence of candidates for certification by demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
  • individuals who are qualified receive a passing score and individuals who are not qualified receive a failing score

Farzad has been a Senior Investment/Wealth Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy (and a Senior Financial Advisor at CIBC) since 2013. As an advisor, Farzad feels that it is extremely important to represent clients with integrity and competence and providing the utmost of quality planning and advice has been a passion of his, tailored to each specific client and family. Farzad holds the Chartered Investment Manager and Personal Financial Planner designations and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. In previous work with FP Canada, Farzad has been a mock exam writer and participated in an Item Writing Workshop. 

Farzad is married with three children. He spends most of his time with them creating new and exciting adventures. Farzad loves the outdoor and staying active, with his hobbies including playing ball hockey, snowboarding and camping.
