The QAFP Exam Panel is comprised of experts in all areas of financial planning, such as retirement planning, risk management and taxation.

The exam panel’s purpose is to ensure:

  • the certification exams sufficiently and appropriately assess the competence of candidates for certification by demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
  • individuals who are qualified receive a passing score and individuals who are not qualified receive a failing score

Lisa Beilman is an experienced professional with over 12 years as a financial planner, specializing in private wealth management for high-net-worth individuals. She holds a university degree in economics from the University of Manitoba, is a Certified Financial Planner professional, and holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation. She is also a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and achieved Honours in the Financial Planning program at Red River College. 

Lisa has a strong commitment to professional development and promoting financial literacy. She has been actively involved as a volunteer with FP Canada in the past, serving in multiple capacities, including item writing and scoring the CFP exam. She has also volunteered with Junior Achievement Canada to teach financial fundamentals to local youths. 

In her current role, Lisa manages discretionary investment portfolios and provides comprehensive financial planning services to her clients, helping them achieve their financial goals and live fulfilling lives. 

Lisa’s personal time is spent with her husband and two young children. She is a practitioner of Shotokan karate, a collector of Rubik’s cubes, and an avid reader.
