Damienne is the Vice President Standards, Certification and Enforcement. Damienne is responsible for the development, maintenance and enforcement of professional standards at FP Canada™.

Damienne leads FP Canada’s certification program and requirements for QAFP^® professionals and CFP^® professionals, overseeing certification policies, certification examinations, professional standards and competencies and guidance to ensure that FP Canada certificants live up to the professional standards expected of them. Damienne also leads FP Canada’s complaint, enforcement and tribunal processes.

Called to the Bar in Ontario in 2002, Damienne began her career as a commercial litigator in private practice with Bennett Jones LLP before transitioning into professional governance and regulation with the Law Society of Ontario in 2009. Damienne joined FP Canada in 2014.

Named one of Wealth Professional’s 2017 Women of Influence, Damienne is committed to volunteerism and community involvement. Damienne is a Member, Discipline and Fitness to Practise Hearing Panel Roster with the Ontario College of Teachers, and the past Chair of both the Review Committee Panel for the Human Resources Professional Association and the Advocates’ Society Regulatory and Administrative Law Practice Group.
