Executive Leadership Team

Joanna oversees the internal operations of FP Canada, including Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Project Management Office, Stakeholder Support and Facilities Management. She also holds the role of Corporate Secretary and is responsible for enterprise risk management, governance, and administration for the FP Canada Board of Directors and the Canadian Foundation for Financial Planning™ Board of Directors.

Since joining FP Canada and its predecessor organization, Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) in June 2015, Joanna has led a team focused on delivering robust, high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that FP Canada is well-positioned for future growth and sustainability. Joanna has extensive management experience in the not-for-profit and public sector. Prior to joining FP Canada, Joanna held several leadership roles at The Hospital for Sick Children and Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, including Deputy Chief Financial Officer at The Hospital for Sick Children.

Joanna started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she earned her CA designation working in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services group. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University.
