Become an FP Canada-Approved Core Curriculum Program Provider

Completion of an FP Canada-Approved Core Curriculum Program satisfies the Core Curriculum requirements for QAFP® and CFP® Certification. Core Curriculum programs, must align with the financial planning competencies outlined in the FP Canada Standards Council™ Competency Profiles and the underlying technical knowledge required of both QAFP and CFP professionals as outlined in the Financial Planning Body of Knowledge.

FP Canada-Approved Core Curriculum programs may be marketed to candidates pursuing QAFP certification or candidates pursuing CFP certification who also need to fulfill the Core Curriculum requirement.

 

Become an FP Canada-Approved Core Curriculum & Advanced Curriculum Program Provider

Completion of a combined FP Canada-Approved Core Curriculum and Advanced Curriculum Program satisfies the Core Curriculum and Advanced Curriculum requirements for CFP certification. Core Curriculum and Advanced Curriculum programs must align with the financial planning competencies outlined in the FP Canada Standards Council™ Competency Profiles and the underlying technical knowledge required of both QAFP and CFP professionals and the advanced technical knowledge required of CFP professionals as outlined in the Financial Planning Body of Knowledge.

FP Canada-Approved Core Curriculum and Advanced Curriculum programs may be marketed to candidates pursuing CFP certification. By offering Core Curriculum Courses as a separate and distinct set of courses from Advanced Curriculum Courses, programs may also be marketed to candidates pursuing QAFP certification.

 

Become an FP Canada-Approved Advanced Curriculum Program Provider

In addition to the completion of an FP Canada-Approved Core Curriculum Program, the completion of an FP Canada-Approved Advanced Curriculum Program is a requirement on the path to CFP certification. The Advanced Curriculum must align with the financial planning competencies outlined in the FP Canada Standards Council™ Competency Profiles and the underlying advanced technical knowledge required of CFP professionals as outlined in the Financial Planning Body of Knowledge.

FP Canada-Approved Advanced Curriculum programs may be marketed to candidates pursuing CFP certification who have already completed an FP Canada-approved Core Curriculum Program.
