The annual FPSC Level 1 certification period expires on July 31 each year. Log in to your FP Canada Portal to renew your FPSC Level 1 certification now. Renewals received after July 31 will be subject to late fees. Any renewal application received after September 30 will be subject to a reinstatement fee in addition to the annual certification fee. We encourage you to complete the renewal application to ensure you continue to experience the benefits of FPSC Level 1 certification. As an FPSC Level 1 certificant, you have achieved a distinctive certification demonstrating an important level of technical competence and commitment to the highest ethical standards of responsibility. Your certification provides assurance to Canadians that the design of their financial future rests with a professional who will put clients’ interests ahead of your own. This enhances your value in the eyes of your clients and employers and helps to elevate and differentiate the financial planning profession.
If you are a former FPSC Level 1 certificant with a cancelled or lapsed certification, you are permitted to reinstate within five years of your last FPSC Level 1 certification expiration date, subject to reinstatement policies.
To begin the reinstatement process, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and attach a completed FPSC Level 1 Certification Reinstatement Application.
Your application will be reviewed once you have reported your CE in the CE Tracker tool with appropriate supporting documentation and paid the reinstatement fee. The application process generally takes 5-10 business days from the date you have submitted all required items.
