What is FP Canada Fellow Distinction?

Individuals certified by FP Canada move the financial planning profession forward every day. The FP Canada Fellow Distinction honours CFP® professionals, QAFP® professionals, and FP Retired™ status holders who’ve made exceptional contributions to advancing professional financial planning in Canada.



What Nominators Should Know

Are you thinking of nominating someone for the FP Canada Fellow Distinction? If so, the nomination package must highlight the nominee’s leadership and the exceptional nature of their performance in the following areas:

  • Their professional career
  • Volunteer contributions toward advancing professional financial planning or FP Canada standards
  • Volunteer contributions to other professional, community, or charitable organizations

The nominee must have made a strong contribution in more than one of these areas.

The FP Canada Fellow Distinction will not be awarded to, and cannot be held by, an individual who has a substantiated complaint with FP Canada; a disciplinary history with FP Canada or the Autorité des marches financiers (AMF); or a disciplinary history with another regulator, professional body or SRO.
