What is the FP Canada Award of Distinction? 

You don’t have to hold a certification from FP Canada to support the advancement of the financial planning profession. That’s why the FP Canada Award of Distinction recognizes individuals who aren’t certified by FP Canada.  

Honourees must have made exceptional contributions towards our mandate of advancing professional financial planning.  



What Nominators Should Know 

Are you thinking of nominating a professional for the FP Canada Award of Distinction? If so, the nomination package should demonstrate the nominee’s leadership and the exceptional nature of their performance in the following areas: 

  • Professional contributions toward our mandate of advancing professional financial planning or FP Canada standards 
  • Volunteer contributions toward our mandate of advancing professional financial planning or FP Canada standards

The nominee must have made a strong contribution in both of these areas, or an exceptional contribution in one.
