What is the FP Canada Award of Distinction? 

You don’t have to hold a certification from FP Canada to support the advancement of the financial planning profession. That’s why the FP Canada Award of Distinction recognizes individuals who aren’t certified by FP Canada.  

Honourees must have made exceptional contributions towards advancing professional financial planning.

What Nominators Should Know 

Are you thinking of nominating a professional for the FP Canada Award of Distinction? If so, the nomination package should demonstrate the nominee’s leadership and the exceptional nature of their performance in the following areas: 

  • Professional contributions toward advancing professional financial planning in Canada
  • Volunteer contributions toward advancing professional financial planning in Canada

The nominee must demonstrate leadership and exceptional contributions toward advancing professional financial planning within both their professional career and through volunteerism.

Nominations will be open until May 15, 2026.
