The purpose of the Board Development Committee is to foster Board effectiveness by:

  • facilitating the effective functioning of the Board and enhancing the quality of Board governance, communications, engagement and collaboration, while fostering an effective Board/CEO relationship
  • leading board succession planning
  • establishing and assessing Director qualifications
  • identifying and recruiting qualified Board, Officer, Committee and Panel candidates
  • measuring Board performance
  • overseeing the orientation and continuing education of Directors
  • developing, reviewing and revising (as necessary) Board Policies and By-laws

Teresa has been providing financial advice for more than 35 years.

Throughout her career, she has served on a variety of community and industry boards, as well as committees overseeing board governance, finance, audit and compensation. Teresa has served on the national boards of The Financial Advisors Association of Canada (Advocis), FP Canada, and the former BC chapter of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners.  She has also served on the board of Union Gospel Mission, including having acted as Chair from 2012 to 2019.  She presently is a member of the board of RGF Integrated Wealth Management. 

In 2014, Teresa was awarded the FP Canada™ Fellow distinction. She is committed to life-long learning and helping others.
