The CFP Exam Panel is comprised of experts in all areas of financial planning, such as retirement planning, risk management and taxation.

The exam panel's purpose is to ensure:

  • the certification exams sufficiently and appropriately assess the competence of candidates for certification by demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
  • individuals who are qualified receive a passing score and individuals who are not qualified receive a failing score

Timothy joined MD Financial Management in 2019 as a Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining MD, he spent eight years at CIBC as a Financial Planner for high net worth individuals and business owners. Timothy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from l’Université de Moncton, as well holds the Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Investment Manager designations. He is also actively pursuing the CFA charter. In previous work with FP Canada, Timothy was a member of the Examinations Item Writing Workshop.
