The CFP Exam Panel is comprised of experts in all areas of financial planning, such as retirement planning, risk management and taxation.

The exam panel's purpose is to ensure:

  • the certification exams sufficiently and appropriately assess the competence of candidates for certification by demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
  • individuals who are qualified receive a passing score and individuals who are not qualified receive a failing score

Timothy entered the wealth management industry by accepting a job at his local bank branch. Now more than 10 years later, he is a Portfolio Manager with MD Financial Management. Fluently bilingual, he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from l’Université de Moncton. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). Timothy has also participated in the Examinations Item Writing Workshop and in scoring the CFP Exam, both as a scorer and team leader.  He credits his time with FP Canada as a key component of his continuing education, as he learns from top-level financial professionals across Canada.
