The QAFP Exam Panel is comprised of experts in all areas of financial planning, such as retirement planning, risk management and taxation.

The exam panel’s purpose is to ensure:

  • the certification exams sufficiently and appropriately assess the competence of candidates for certification by demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
  • individuals who are qualified receive a passing score and individuals who are not qualified receive a failing score

Darlene provides holistic financial planning to families and business owners and has been working in financial services since 2008. She started as an independent advisor and joined Dixon & Patterson Financial Planning in 2018, becoming partner in 2020. She has been an active volunteer with FP Canada, having contributed as a scorer for the CFP exam and a mock exam writer writing. She enjoys collaborating and learning with other advisors across Canada on the QAFP Exam Panel which helps to strengthen her financial knowledge for her clients. Darlene is currently treasurer for her local Rotary club and when she is not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family and walking with her dog.
