Alexandra Macqueen, CFP

Vice President, Learning, Development and Professional Practice

Biography

Alexandra is responsible for leading the FP Canada Institute™, a division of FP Canada™ dedicated to elevating the practice of financial planning through education. In her role, she oversees the development and ongoing operation of FP Canada’s educational programs for prospective and existing CFP® professionals and QAFP® professionals, ensuring the currency and relevance of education for professional financial planners. 

Alexandra is a recognized expert in financial planning whose diverse and progressive career has spanned many roles across the profession. She has been certified as a Certified Financial Planner® professional since 2007. She has delivered thousands of hours of industry teaching, including serving as an adjunct faculty member at the Schulich School of Business. She is co-author of several well-known retirement planning books and is a longstanding industry commentator.  

Prior to her current role, Alexandra served as Director of Content Development for the FP Canada Institute, where she oversaw the development of content for certificant education programs and FP Canada’s financial planning Body of Knowledge.
