Executive Leadership Team

As Vice President of Business Development, Brett is responsible for the development and implementation of organizational strategies and achievement of targets around strategic business growth and revenue diversification for FP Canada. 

Brett, a CFP^® professional since 2009, has supported high financial planning standards and financial literacy as a Regional Vice-President at IG Wealth Management and as a columnist for Kelowna’s Daily Courier and Castanet.net. He also founded his own successful wealth management firm and has additional experience in product development for a global business enterprise. During his years on FP Canada’s Board of Directors, Brett was involved in facilitating the organization’s transformation from the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) to FP Canada, the national professional body that exists today, as well as the introduction of the Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ certification. In 2022, he received the FP Canada Fellow Distinction in recognition of his many contributions to the financial planning profession throughout his long and successful career.

Brett is a dedicated supporter of his local community who has served on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association as well as the Ballet Kelowna Society. He was a finalist for the City of Kelowna Man of the Year award in 2015 in recognition of his many years of community service and the 100 Heroes charity that he established almost a decade ago that continues to raise funds for local, grassroots charities each year.  As a fully certified Search and Rescue Manager for the BC Provincial Emergency Program, Brett spent many years volunteering with regional Search and Rescue teams.
