November 2020 Exams Continue

New format: FP Canada is offering a new online proctoring option for candidates writing the CFP® exam and QAFP™ exam this November. This option provides candidates with flexibility and convenience, and ensures all candidates have access to write the certification exams. Candidates have the option to continue with the traditional in-person exam test centre experience or to write the exam in an online proctored format from their home or other private location, providing a secure alternative to traditional test centres.

New dates: The QAFP exam will now take place on November 23, 2020 and the CFP exam will now be held on three days: November 24, 25 and 26, 2020.
Registration is now closed, and the next QAFP exam will take place on May 28, 2021 and the next CFP exams will be held on two days: May 26 and 27, 2021. Registration opens in early January 2021.

As of November 23, 2020

In-Person Test Centres

Given the fluid situation, we expect to hear from some government leaders throughout the coming week and these announcements may impact the upcoming exams being held at in person test centres.

What This Means For You

Toronto and Peel Region in-person test centre candidates: Given the Ontario government’s mandated lockdown effective Monday, November 23, candidates in these regions for the QAFP exam on Monday, November 23 and the CFP exams on November 24 – 26 have been contacted with options for their exam sitting.

Other Regions:

If candidates in other regions do not hear from us about a test centre closure, their exam will take place as scheduled and subject to procedures outlined in the Admission Ticket.

Online Proctored Format

All exam candidates for online proctoring have now received their Admission Ticket from Yardstick. If candidates are unable to locate the email, contact Yardstick testing support at testingsupport@getyardstick.com or 1-888-900-0005, option 1.
