The QAFP Exam Panel is comprised of experts in all areas of financial planning, such as retirement planning, risk management and taxation.

The exam panel’s purpose is to ensure:

  • the certification exams sufficiently and appropriately assess the competence of candidates for certification by demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
  • individuals who are qualified receive a passing score and individuals who are not qualified receive a failing score

After several years in the telecommunications industry, Eddy has worked in the financial services industry since 2005. Eddy obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2007. In addition to many financial industry qualifications and training, including the Chartered Investment Manager and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute designations, he has a Bachelor of General Studies and an Advanced Certificate in Management Studies from Thompson Rivers University. 

After growing up in nearby Surrey, Eddy has lived in Chilliwack since 2008. He has been married since 2003 and has 3 sons. He is very involved in their church, the local YMCA and other charities. He has been volunteering with FP Canada since 2019 to give back and further the profession.  He and his family love the outdoors so can often be found biking, hiking, running, canoeing, and camping around BC. 

Eddy is passionate about giving his clients comprehensive expert advice and realistic sustainable recommendations based on their needs. He cares deeply about his client's well-being and seeks to develop long lasting relationships.
